The Indiana Free Library says the ongoing renovations of the Community Center building in which it is located have moved indoors, and it’s asking for patience as some sections have had to be temporarily closed “for the safety of patrons and the protection of the collection.”
In a prepared statement, the library says the Children’s Department will be closed from today to Saturday as they move back into the newly-renovated room. While the transition is taking place, children’s materials will be unavailable for checkout.
The Children’s Department will reopen sometime next week, when they will also resume regular story-time hours. You can check the website, www.indianafreelibrary.org or the library’s Facebook page for postings about the department reopening. While apologizing for the inconvenience, the library welcomes patrons to explore the changes to the department after they settle in to the newly-remodeled space.
