State police crime reports include the unauthorized use of a Blairsville woman’s credit card. It happened November 7th in the 100 block of Blaire Road in Burrell Township. Heather Kunkle reported the theft to police, who do not say how much money was involved.
A known suspect was arrested for allegedly stealing almost $400 worth of merchandise from the JC Penney store at the Indiana Mall on Christmas Eve. State police say the 29-year-old man, whose name was not released, is charged with misdemeanor retail theft.
State police report two driving under the influence incidents on Christmas Eve. One happened at 10:05 PM along Route 110 in White Township, and involved a 20-year-old man who was pulled over for a traffic violation. The other driver was pulled over at 10:22 PM along Hagens Road in Buffington Township. He’s a 53-year-old Blairsville man. Charges against both are pending blood analysis.
PSP-KITTANNING
State police in Kittanning are investigating a case of aggravated indecent assault that happened on December 15th in a home near Dayton. Police say around 1:00 PM, someone was able to enter the home of an 88-year-old woman along Country Road in Wayne Township and sexually assault the woman. No other details have been provided.
A Kittanning man is facing charges of strangulation connected with a physical altercation that happened in Cowanshannock Township on December 22nd. Police say that around 2:06 AM, there was a fight between 19-year-old Curtis Pearce and a 25-year-old woman. Charges of strangulation and harassment were filed against Pearce with District Judge Kevin McCausland’s office.
